Nox,

thre is an "About plugins" menu entry in photoshop that shows loaded plugins.

Assuming bibble is listed in the about plugins menu, what happens in photoshop if you "Open as" from the file menu and choose bibble (Or in the open dalog itslef, adjust the file type to bibble)

The Bibble plugin does show up on the About Plugins list, but when I try to "Open as..." and select Bibble I get the following error:

Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file.

i wrote my issue some time ago. and now the same thing. th config is win xp sp2, PS CS2 9.0.2, bibble pro 4.8. eerything was fine, i was happy and plug-in worked just great, but one day with no changes in config it stoped. so now i can process my CR2s with standalone Bibble, i can open CR2s with CameraRAW, but no way to get bibble plug-in work properly in PS. it's very disappointing! why couldn't it work stabile?

I'm having the same problem, and I resent that the only solution offered to-date is to reinstall 2 pieces of software and plunder around my registry. I expect freeware to be buggy, but when I pay for software I expect it to work or to be corrected when a problem is brought to the developers' attention.

That was what i'd made! i completely deinstalled PS and BP, cleaned registry and installed both progs. and NO GOOD NEWS Sad
i just wonder why other plug-ins work in any conditions, but not bibble pro. and i'm ready to provide any system snap-shots needed!

I'm not sure what you mean by the "about plugin" menu. Is this something I can check for you in Photoshop or is it within Bibble?

From within Photoshop, go to "Help -> About Plug-in" This will list all the plugins that Photoshop is aware of. You should see "A Bibble RAW Plugin..." in the list - if it isn't there, then you'll need to copy the plugin file from C:\Program Files\Bibble Labs\Bibble RAW.8bi to your Photoshop plugin folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins\File Formats

Thanks, Jeff

The plugin file is in the correct folder already, and does show up when I check the About Plugins menu. Photoshop cannot, however, open a file using Bibble if I select Open As and ask it to open a RAW file using Bibble. Instead I get an error message.

Well then the onlyother thing I have to suggest at the moment is to try removing the registry entries at HK_CURRENT_USER/software/biblbblelabs and then rerun PS

Unfortunately, this still results in Photoshop opening RAW files with Adobe Camera RAW.

I deleted the entire BibbleLabs folder from the registry.

Next sugestion is wait a bit for 4.9 to be availalbe, I'll add some debugging code aroudn the PS interface and then we can make some log files and see what is happening.

After repeated problems, I finally gave up trying to use the Bibble plug-in with CS2. Did this problem get solved with release of 4.9.5? If not, is it ever going to be addressed?

Eric et al. are you out there? Smile
Could you please comment on whether or not this problem was fixed in the latest release?

What problem are you referring to? Earlier in this thread you said that your issue had been resolved. Without details on how to reproduce the problems you're experiencing we can't really help. There's probably something about your system's configuration that's causing trouble. We need more information to figure out why it works fine on most systems and not on yours.

Hi Colleen,

The problem is that shared with NoxDinnen and Fobo (see above): when trying to open a file using the CS2 plug-in, we get the error "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file".

thanks
