Anyone else finding this? Finding that with lighter toned subjects the default profile overcooks the upper tones and allows them to burn out.
Below are B4 & B5 versions of the same picture with everything off except Sharpening of 100. I don't think this is the same as the highlight recovery issues posted elsewhere as the highlights are clearly not clipped, more this may be to do with the camera profiling (Pentax K10D). There is definitely far more contrast in the default rendering in B5.
I must admit I do prefer the cooler, more neutral rendering of the B5 colour balance. _________________ Pentax K10D and enough old lenses to cause back problems |

What look profile are you using here? "Product" is more punchy, "portrait" more neutral, I see that generally portrait gets much closer to B4 render. Apart from that K10 profile might be a bit off as you say.
In that case, upload the raw, B4 and B5 generated jpegs to support and ask them to look into the issue.

I always default to Portrait - its the most neutral setting overall. Event I find overly harsh, and the colour balance too cool. _________________ Pentax K10D and enough old lenses to cause back problems |

if the B5 was done with "portrait" and everything else "off" then i'd say the profile for your camera needs some tweaking.
as acarodp said: raw-file, jpgs, and dont forget the .bib and .xmp files so the bibbelabs can see what you did to the file. _________________ bernd gruber - http://grubernd.at

Hi,
I have more or less the same problem with this exemple exposed to the right.
On the bibble 5 version, the sand is overexposed. When enabling HR and a strong underexposure parameter, I can revover the sand texture, but colors become weird.
You can also notice a small bug in the HR recovery tool (the color square in the sand)

This is fixed with PV2.1, but the overexposure problem remains.
