|
|
I'm waiting for my new Pentax K10D to arrive, and in the meantime I'm looking into software that can help me with my RAW images on Linux (Ubuntu).
I downloaded the trial of Bibble labs Pro 4.9, and I love what I see (esp. the workflow concept).
But I realize my Pentax RAW files will not be supported right out of the box (I guess my 30 day trial would be enough to prove this).
Can we expect this in 5.0, and when?
BTW, K10D will support these formats:
Compressed : RAW (PEF)
Not compressed : RAW (DNG)
Thanks. |

Hi Eric!
Got your camera yet???
Sorry, I know it's only been a day, but the Pentax Photolab software REALLY is horrible.
I've been using BibblePro Since March 2005. With the new additions of the spot healing/patch and the sensor correction, the only thing I have to do in Photoshop is resize/unsharpmask. While I love the cat picture that comes up when a format isn't recognized, it sure would be nice to see thumbnails and be able to use all the great Bibble features! Can I send you a few RAW files???

Some raw files will certainly be helpful. Send some well lit and exposed images under different wb conditions via www.bibblelabs.com/upload
UPS missed us, so we don't get our cam till tommorow. just as a heads up, there won't be an update untill next month....Holidays and all that.

Hi Eric!
I will do that! But you will probably have your camera first. I've only gotten to take night pictures so far. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow before the sun goes down. HA!
Have a great Thanksgiving!
Edit: Forgot to say THANKS! |

Hi again!
Do you still want some PEF files? It finally cleared up here so I have something besides indoor, lowlight photos. Didn't know if you wanted others if you've gotten your camera already.
Thanks again!
Edit: I tried uploading a few PEF files, but I'm on dialup. The connection timed out. I'll have to find someplace to upload at a higher speed. Sorry. |

Eric,
Do you still have need for K10D PEFs? Mine came yesterday and I would be glad to provide a variety of images exposed under different WB conditions if still needed.
Regards,
Michael |

Do you have receipt your K10 ?
I downloaded a photo of the K10 that a friend gave me, but it is not extraordinary in photographic quality but it can, may be to help has modify your software so that he can take the PEF of the K10 in charge.
In France times of waiting to get the K10 are very long, Pentax is in rupture of stock.
Thanks ! |

Radek, the only way for me to be accurate is to not give you a date till its done Which is exactly why we don't quote dates. The camera is here, as are all the other cameras for the next update, it is in progress, and it is now in the pretty soon catagroy for being done.

I've flicked a couple of K10D PEFS to you guys. Are you still after any more? Pentax software is so bad. Looking forward to your update or Bibble 5. don't mind which, just anything to get away from the evil Pentax software |
